"Hotel Pansy was just awesome! The host was incredibly helpful, communicating before our trip to answer our questions and to help us find activity providers while we were in the desert. He checked in with us to make sure we were happy every day and couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The restaurant had tasty Tunisian food in a set menu. The pool was gorgeous, surrounded by palms and the tent we stayed in was comfortable and nicely decorated, with air con when the electricity is switched on over night. It was cool through the day as it was well insulated. The site is minutes walk from the oasis hot spring, quad biking operators and camels to ride, plus on the edge of the desert to watch the sun rise/set over the dunes. Some reviews have complained about power etc - this is definitely an adventure retreat rather than a luxury hotel (which would cost a lot more in this remote setting!) So some elements are a bit basic which you should be aware of when booking. Our stay was simply magical and we loved it all! Thank you Hotel Pansy!"

"Let's start with the positives. The hotel has beautiful grounds. It is old but clean. Areas of improvement - the swimming pool was murky and it didn't appear that it has water pump and filter. Dinner was by buffet only and it was an hour delayed and dinner started at 8PM. When we went to pay, the waiter overcharged us so make sure to keep an eye on the prices. Breakfast was OK. It is an older property but the rooms were clean, the grounds looked really nice and parking was easy."

"Le logement était très bien. Petite incompréhension à l'arrivée, ne pas hésiter à contacter l'hôte en amont. Mais ensuite tout etait parfait, logement frais même en cas de fortes chaleurs, joliment décoré et les hôtes ont été très réactifs pour nous aider tout au long du sejour. Je recommande !"

"The property is an traditional Berber house that is very tastefully renovated.we stayed in the cave room which was a unique experience, and had all the amenities. I Patrick and Sabine are wonderful hosts.The price includes dinner in addition to breakfast. The dinner was the best I had in Tunisia.They offer a wide selection of Tunisian wines and other liquor. Overall, this is one of the best experience I have had not only in Tunisia."
